You make emotional connections with others through touch and hold your family and community together with your nurturing nature, warmth, and friendliness. You may be the peacekeeper in group social interactions and are often the one welcoming others to the group or checking on someone who is not fitting in. You are also willing to bargain when making deals, exchanging resources, and delegating the assets of the group. Planning and preparing food is part of how you nurture others.
If your Personality Sun is in Gate 37, your Incarnation Cross will either be the Right Angle Cross of Planning 1, the Juxtaposition Cross of Bargains, or the Left Angle Cross of Migration 1.

The energy of the Human Design Gate 37 Sun transit, in the Gate of Friendship, is all about gathering with your social circle or family and seeking peace within those relationships by making sure everyone feels like they belong and are part of the group. If you don’t already belong to a group, during this transit you may find yourself seeking a community that offers you support and understands you. If you have a community, you may find yourself being more aware of the give and take that occurs in that group and wanting to bring others into the fold who you sense could use the support themselves. This energy can make for a touchy, feely time with hugs, handshakes, pats on the back, cuddles and sex as a way to feel connected with those you are close to.
When the Sun is in Gate 37, the Earth is in Gate 40 and together they form the Channel of Community. This is the design of a part seeking a whole and part of the Stream of Sensitivity. This is an emotional Tribal Channel, and it is the energy of making bargains with others in your family, friend circles, or even work community. With this activation, the efficiency of the ego is dependent on your emotions. Gate 40 is the provider of resources and Gate 37 is the distributor of them. This is the energy of the marriage bond, emotional pleasure, sex, and food. You may become aware of some bargains or deals that don’t feel fair anymore and decide to seek out a more equitable exchange and reciprocity.
Now is a great time to reflect on what connection means to you; what you expect from those you are close to and what they expect from you. What is necessary from each side to keep the peace and strong friendship or family bonds? This transit can also bring up both the fear of being trapped in traditional roles and the worry that you aren’t being fully supported. You may sense you are being taken advantage of by an unfair exchange can and that can bring up a lot of intense emotion. This energy is loyal and expects loyalty in return. It also craves recognition for what you bring to the relationship and can also have the tendency to become a people pleaser as you sacrifice yourself for your community. Boundaries are important as you love and give to others.
The emotional wave created by the Channel of Community can be particularly explosive once it ratchets to a crescendo. It is important to take responsibility for your emotions this week, especially if you start feeling anger or frustration ramp up around the balance of how much you are giving and receiving in return. Remember this if you witness yourself on either the giving or receiving end of lashing out or being intentionally mean to loved ones.
With this activation in the transits, you may also feel a greater willpower because of the ego definition and could be prone to make promises to those that are close to you instead of listening to your inner Authority. Be aware of entering into emotional agreements, especially without recognition from the other and emotional clarity. Lacking those, it will be hard to find the energy to honor the arrangement, especially once the transit is over. Don’t allow yourself to feel pressured to sign contracts or make deals without first honoring your Strategy and Authority. It is also extra important to communicate clearly and express your needs during this time and not assume others can read your mind.
